After the relaxation we begin series of Pawanmuktasana. Pawan (san. Wind) and mukta (to set free) asana ( pose). These exercises are preparation exercises for the body. They are very beneficial for the body and should not be neglected. Beginners as well as people who are out of shape should put an accent to these series of exercises as they slowly move forward into the more advanced asanas.

These exercises are very good for regulation of the body fluids. There are 2 group in this series:

1. Anti-rheumatic group

These exercises include movements of the joints and ligament in the body. We count the movement in order to keep the awareness. With this series the joints are lubricated and relaxed.

2. Abdominal group

These are good for releasing the stomach and the intestines from the gases (the wind).
